Cell biology is the branch of science that study the “cells”, the fundamental “building blocks” of all living organisms on the earth. It studies the structure, function, and behavior of cells alone or in interaction with other cells.
It studies the complex architecture of basic cellular components such as the nucleus, mitochondria, ribosomes, and the cell membrane. Research in cell biology has profound implications for medicine and biotechnology.

A Cell, in biology, is the basic membrane-bound unit that contains the fundamental molecules of life and of which all living things are composed, except viruses. A single cell is often a complete organism in itself, such as a bacterium or yeast. In a multi-cellular organism, cells cooperate with other specialized cells and become the building blocks of large organisms, such as humans and other animals.
