Biophysics applies the principles and methods of physics to study biological systems. It aims to explain how biological structures function and interact at a molecular and atomic level. By combining techniques from physics, biology, and mathematics, biophysics information about the mechanisms of life, from the dynamics of protein folding to the electrical properties of cell membranes.
On the other hand, Biomechanic study the mechanical principles that govern the movements and structure of living organisms. It analyzes the forces and movements that govern biological systems, from the cellular level to the whole organism. It aims to understand how organisms move, support themselves, and interact with their environment and others.
In fact, Biophysics and biomechanics are interconnected by their common goal of applying physical principles to biological systems. Biophysics often provides the molecular and cellular insights that inform larger-scale analyses of biomechanics.
