All Animal Research in the European Union (EU) is regulated under the Directive 2010/63/EU (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2010/63/oj) on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes consolidated with a recent text Directive 2010/63/EU (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A02010L0063-20190626). In summary, the final aims of these 2 "Directives" are to replace all animal research with non-animal methods of research, such as organoids, invitro research, or with the help of computer simulations.
